Clark's Fish Camp

Clarks has been a Mandarin institution for as long as I can remember. Originally a small fishcamp out "in the swamp", they have slowly expanded their service and food menu over the years. Today, they are famous for the Jacks Cut (a three pound prime rib) and their enormous collection of exotic stuffed animals.

Sadly, Clark's Fish Camp is not accessible with our houseboats, but if you bring a boat that can get under the Julington Creek bridge, Clark's is worth a stop. Anchor the houseboat at the mouth of Julington Creek, making sure to stay clear of the channel.

Location A few miles down Julington Creek, but you need a boat that can fit under the Julington Creek bridge, just off the St Johns River, which ours will not. Map
Distance About 4 hours north
Directions By boat, go under the Julington Creek bridge. Head up the creek a few miles. You'll see Clarks on the left, down a smaller creek. By car, take Julington Creek Road until you come to a "tee". Turn right.
Docking A few open slips are usually available, but fill up quick on weekends.
Food/Drinks Lots and Lots of food, from huge prime rib, to cajun gumbo and etoufee and of course, piles of seafood. They have a full bar with a massive variety of liquor. Menu
